A significant influence on Edis as a composer and performer, Bill Evans’ original music is full of intense emotion and beauty: Paul Edis himself is also a natural melodist who finds the emotional
resonance of every note. Rooted in the straight-ahead swinging tradition, he is recognised as ‘One of the leading lights in contemporary jazz’.
