The North Yorkshire High Sheriffs' Dragons' Den

20th October, 5.30pm

Come along for drinks and canapes and support some of the region's excellent small local charities, showcasing their projects.

The High Sheriff of North Yorkshire welcome you as six North Yorkshire charitable groups, showcase their organisation for a share of guaranteed funding from five local business people wanting to support positive change in the region.

The groups who will be showcasing on the night are:

• SELFA Skipton supporting their community fridge project to help families access fresh food and reduce food waste

• Grassington Hub supporting a new befriending service so older people remain connected

• Just the Job, Richmond to create a rest room for their busy team members this winter

• Peer Support New Beginnings providing support to women to cope with life after domestic abuse

• Clean Slate Solutions to help provide meaningful employment for people with past convictions

• Shine21, York to provide early intervention for children with Downs Syndrome

As well as a great opportunity to get much needed funding, the event also raises the groups' profile, enables them to get great media coverage, and make new connections.
