Designer Makers Market

Friday 16th October & Saturday 17th October, 10am-4pm,

'Unique handcrafted goods, direct from the maker'

A two day event, spread over two floors, showcasing approximately thirty 'handpicked' designers, artists and craftspeople from around the region and beyond. 

A fabulous opportunity to meet the makers and buy 'gallery quality', handcrafted and original pieces of work.

Watch demonstrations & take part in 'have-a-go' sessions for all ages.

About the Market

Designer Makers Market was established in 2013 by textile artist Kathryn Guy. Frustrated by a lack of good quality, genuinely handcrafted events in the North East she decided to organise some herself. 

Participants are 'handpicked' and offer a good mix of mediums. The event always attracts customers who appreciate the uniqueness of the products and the time that has gone into making them. 

Refreshments

Café: Serving breakfast 8am (9am Saturdays) until 11.30am. Lunch served 12noon-3.30pm. Drinks & cakes served all day until 5pm.

Bistro: Serving a la carte lunches from 12noon-4pm.

Admission is free but a donation for Herriot Hospice Homecare would be gratefully received
