Conducted by world-renowned Professor Nicholas Childs with special guest soloist Mike Cavanagh (baritone), the Band’s 2026 Easter concert "New Horizons" celebrates the spirit of innovation, youthful energy and musical excellence that defines The NYBBGB.
Don’t miss this inspiring evening of musical excellence. Whether you're a lifelong brass band fan or discovering this rich tradition for the first time, this concert will leave you uplifted, moved and amazed by the talent of some of the UK's brightest young musicians.
The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (NYBBGB) is the UK’s leading brass band charity for children and young people. Formed in 1952 by Dr Denis Wright, we exist to give the brightest young brass and percussion musicians the opportunity to develop their musicianship, play together and inspire others. The NYBBGB currently runs two brass bands – the Children’s Band and the Youth Band and entry is by audition. Our bands perform advanced music and receive the highest quality artistic direction and teaching. This develops our young members as musicians to grow the next generation of outstanding brass and percussion players, teachers and music leaders.
